Dental Implants. Lifelong solutions for missing teeth.

Missing teeth can cause a wide range of issues that can affect the appearance and functionality of your smile. Dental Implants are designed to enhance the appearance of your smile, while also providing a long-term solution to tooth loss. If your tooth is damaged beyond repair, or if you have missing teeth, a Dental Implant could be a suitable alternative for you.

Dental Implants are recognised as the premium solution for treating single-tooth replacements, through to a complete upper and / or lower arch replacement. They look and feel like your own teeth. In most cases, it is very difficult to see the difference between a new implant and your own natural teeth.

About Dental Implants at Drouin Dental.

At Drouin Dental, our Dental Implant procedures are conducted under local anaesthetic or sleep sedation at our clinic for complete comfort. Depending on the nature and complexity of your treatment needs, Dental Implant treatments occur over a few visits with us, and over a period of 2 -6 months.

Our skilled team of dentists will map out the most effective approach to your Dental Implant treatment in advance, beginning with a free first Dental Implant assessment. We will then create a fully customised 3D implant plan, using a 3D x-ray to assess your bone volume. In instances where we find inadequate bone volume or quality, a routine procedure called bone grafting, or a sinus lift may be required.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • What materials are Dental Implants made from? close

Dental Implants are made of titanium – a biocompatible material accepted by the body. This material serves as a strong foundation for replacement teeth, with a high success rate and long lifespan.

  • Am I a good candidate for Dental Implants? close

Before you receive Dental Implants, your suitability for the procedure will be assessed by one of our clinicians. A variety of factors determine whether or not you are a suitable candidate for conventional implants, including good oral hygiene, dental and general medical health. In some cases, a bone graft, or guided bone regeneration with Stem Cell Therapy may be required to ensure adequate bone to anchor the implant.

  • What is the procedure and when do I get the new tooth? close

After your implant placement is complete and your jaw and gums are completely healed, you are ready for the making and attaching of your new teeth. Implant bone integration may take 3 to 6 months, depending on whether a bone graft was needed at the implant site. A grafted site takes longer to heal. Once full integration is achieved, it will take 2-3 weeks to make the new customised implant supported crown/bridge/dentures.

  • Why is a Dental Implant the ideal solution for replacing a missing tooth? close

A Dental Implant is independent of the rest of your teeth, which means that if something goes wrong, only the implant itself will be affected, in which case we will assess the area and attempt to resolve the issue without any of your other teeth being affected.

  • How much does it cost? close

Every patient is unique and needs an individualised treatment solution. There may be of different costs involved in Dental Implants. These include the cost of any extraction, bone grafting, number of implants and the number of teeth to be replaced. Because no two cases have the same level of complexity, costs can vary for every patient. At Drouin Dental, our team will work with you to address your individual requirements and provide you with options for improving your smile.
