Cosmetic Injectables.

Everyday our facial expressions cause natural lines on the face and over the course of time, these lines become permanent wrinkles around the eyes, mouth and forehead. Facial injectables are a substance inserted into the skin to rejuvenate and revitalize the skin. Wrinkles are reduced by relaxing wrinkle causing muscles, which in turn makes your skin look smoother.

The most commonly treated areas are:

  • Frowns
  • Forehead lines
  • Nose crinkles
  • Smoker’s line
  • Crow’s feet
  • Jaw ache / teeth grinding / clenching
  • Gummy smile

About Dermal Fillers

During the natural aging process, the substance produced by our bodies to keep skin young and healthy is lost, causing wrinkles, folds and sagging skin. Dermal fillers are designed to fill out and smooth away lines, wrinkles and folds and add volume to the lips and other areas of volume deficiency.

Fillers are an excellent and efficient treatment for:

  • Lip enhancement
  • Nasal labial folds (from the corner of the nose to the corner of the mouth)
  • Smile lines
  • Facial contouring of the cheeks and chin

Administered through experienced hands.

At Drouin Dental, we use the latest generation of facial injectables in a highly sterilised environment. Dentists are highly trained in head, face and neck anatomy and are also extremely skilled at administering fine needles. For increased comfort during filler placement in lips and nasolabial folds, our team of specialists can administer a local anaesthetic directly into the nerve at the back of the mouth to numb the lower region of the mouth and face.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • What should I expect at the consultation? close

You are very special to us, so we will listen to what your goals of treatment are, so we can deliver accordingly. We like to schedule a free facial aesthetics consultation with one of our dentists to go over all details with you prior to any treatment.

  • Do cosmetic injectables hurt? close

You may experience slight discomfort at the injection site. Our clinicians at Drouin Dental use specialised, gentle injection techniques to minimise discomfort as much as possible.

  • How long does the procedure take? close

The anti-wrinkle treatment is quite quick and can be done in your lunch break. Our muscle relaxing treatments are performed in the same timely manner. Our dermal filler treatments take around 30 minutes as we use a local anaesthetic.

  • How long does the treatment last? close

Anti-wrinkle treatments last about 3 months, however with regular maintenance this time can extend. Dermal Filler treatments can last anywhere from 6-10 months. At Drouin Dental, we use long-lasting materials of the highest quality.

  • Can my treatment be done on the same day as my dental appointment? close

For your convenience and discretion, dental treatments and cosmetic injectables can be performed at the same visit. We also provide a two-week review post treatment to evaluate the effectiveness of your treatment and make any necessary amendments to ensure you are completely happy with the outcome.

  • Is the treatment safe and are there any side effects? close

Muscle relaxants are very safe and the treatment is approved by medical authorities in 70 countries worldwide. No long-term side effects have been reported. There may be some slight discomfort when the needle enters the skin, similar to tweezing hair, with the possibility of a small bruise at the injection site.
Dermal Fillers are a perfectly safe treatment. The main component of the product is hyaluronic acid, a substance that is highly biocompatible and biodegradable. You may experience some slight swelling, redness and bruising at the site of the injection, but this rarely lasts longer than a few days.
