Dr Fiona Dao Associate Dentist

“I understand that going to the dentist can be quite daunting for many. However, over the years I have learnt that by being genuinely empathetic, friendly and gentle, this has been able to positively change my patients’ attitude and preconceived notions about dentists. We are not that scary after all.”

Born and raised in Melbourne, I completed a Bachelors in Biomedicine at Melbourne University before studying dentistry at Melbourne University with a Doctor in Dental Surgery degree. Since graduation, I spent several years working in private and public clinics in East Gippsland before settling here at Drouin Dental.

I thoroughly enjoy all aspects of dentistry but have a particular interest in restorative dentistry, oral surgery and preventative care. I love spending the time to listen, connect and educate my patients about how to best look after their teeth. I find it very important to be able to work collaboratively with my patients to find a personalised treatment plan tailored to them. There is nothing more rewarding than bringing back the confidence for my patients to smile again.

Outside of dentistry, I am a lover of travel and food! I also enjoy reading whilst snuggling up with my cat, Emmy.
